Job Description
The Test Technician is responsible for the leak checking and functional testing of custom electro-mechanical equipment. Different shifts are available!
Responsibilities
Perform testing and troubleshooting of general electronic, electro-mechanical assemblies, automation systems, and machines to meet the production schedule.
Explain test results and schedules to other team members, area leads, or supervisors.
Provide input and recommendations to area leads and other team members on improvement opportunities based on data and observations.
Maintain adherence to production, test, and quality system procedures; retrieve test procedures from corporate databases.
Utilize both manual and automated tests to perform system-level testing to ensure product quality and reliability in accordance with company specifications.
Work cooperatively on the project work team; document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Essential Skills
2-5+ years’ experience performing leak testing in a semiconductor environment, with the ability to describe how to troubleshoot and repair a leak.
2-5+ years’ experience performing Final Test, including failure analysis.
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mechanically inclined with a fair level of dexterity to construct simple test setups per documented instructions and procedures.
Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions, drawings, and procedures.
Knowledgeable with using a variety of measurement and test equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused.
Ability to work extended or non-standard work schedules to meet specific personal training, department, and production needs.
Ability to work well with others and to foster a learning atmosphere within a team environment.
Applicable knowledge of Microsoft Office and various other Windows/DOS-based applications.
General software and computer experience to operate and monitor test equipment to run pass/fail criteria on assemblies.

Work Environment
Openings are available for 1st Shift (6am-2:30pm) and 2nd Shift (2:30pm-11pm). The work environment is professional and team-oriented. Physical demands include the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp, stand for sustained periods, and lift up to 25 lbs. (with assistance for heavier loads). The role may involve exposure to hazards such as electrical currents, moving mechanical parts, and chemicals, requiring the use of personal protective equipment. Moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, and computers may be present.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.15
