Job/Position DescriptionThe Training Developer, supervised by the Program Manager for the Texas Cares Rx program, performs advanced consultative and technical work in developing and implementing training activities for the program. This role will collaborate with the Texas Cares Rx team to design strategies and training materials to promote the program and enhance engagement with communities and stakeholders, including schools, healthcare providers, government officials, and local agencies. Key responsibilities include creating training sessions, job aids, and materials to onboard program volunteers, ensuring that all services align with community needs such as health promotion, program support, public engagement, and customer service.The Training Developer is responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining internal training processes, tools, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the team. This includes ensuring timely communication of updates within the team and designing effective workflows to maintain consistency in training delivery. The Training Developer will oversee internal documentation, facilitate team collaboration, and manage SharePoint administration.This role designs and delivers training in various formats, including both face-to-face and e-learning, while maintaining training records and feedback reports. This involves assessing and updating training content, recommending improvements to enhance learning outcomes, and ensuring content remains current and relevant. The Training Developer is also responsible for creating and distributing program materials such as newsletters, fact sheets, reports, and other communications to external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Section and Division policy.The Training Developer works with minimal supervision, with significant latitude for independent judgment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Microsoft Power Platform and PowerApps. This is a hybrid telework position, requiring one day a week in the office. Applicants must ensure relevant experience and skills are clearly demonstrated in their resume for consideration.Essential Job FunctionsDesigns, develops, and delivers blended classroom and online training courses, as well as customized instructional materials using various tools and applications, including audio, video, animation, narrated presentations, podcasts, webcasts, simulations, and virtual learning environments. (35%) Performs complex analysis work, including researching, documenting, and validating training plans, ensuring alignment with business processes and community needs. Collaborates with stakeholders to promote the Texas Cares program by coordinating training events, developing materials, and assisting with community outreach initiatives. (35%) Oversees the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal staff, as well as the organization, upkeep, and accessibility of training materials on the teamand#146;s SharePoint site. Ensures all resources are up-to-date and effectively communicated to stakeholders. (15%) Prepares reports and highlights community engagement projects. Responsible for planning, maintaining, and communicating regional training activities, including organizing community events, workshops, and outreach efforts. Evaluates the effectiveness of training activities and implements improvements as needed.
