Diesel Technician/Mechanic

We are a local trucking company that is seeking a motivated detail oriented Senior Technician. This candidate must have strong diagnostic skills, software experience, and the ability to be self-sufficient. The repair opportunities working with us include small tools, trucks, trailers, tractor trailers as well as a vast fleet of construction equipment.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and vehicles.

Duties:

  • Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

  • Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to identify issues

  • Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals

  • Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards

  • Repair or replace parts such as shocks, struts, and brakes

  • Service various types of equipment including farm machinery and cranes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in equipment repair

  • Familiarity with automotive repair and service technician procedures

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients effectively

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience working with construction equipment

  • Knowledge of dump truck, tractor, trailer maintenance and repair

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40-50 per week

Experience:
