We are seeking to hire an Operations Plant Controller (d/f/m) with manufacturing industry experience and comfortable with all aspects of finance support and guidance. The Operations Plant Controller (d/f/m) is responsible for oversight of all aspects of finance support for F&B Operations Manufacturing as well as providing guidance and oversight within the Business Unit to the site controllers including month end results, budgeting, forecasting, and developing leader who partner with the business.

This position is part of the Operations Finance Team and will be located at our location in Bad Kreuznach, Germany Manufacturing Site with approximately 30 % travelling.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Serves as strategic business partner for F&B BU Operations Leader in the areas of operations, manufacturing, and supply chain. Linking the BU and Operations to provide one version of the truth to drive alignment and clarity across all constituents related to performance measures and areas of opportunity

  • Drive manufacturing annual budget process and provides financial oversight and guidance F&B finance personnel at the manufacturing plant level

  • Manages process and review in the region for the consolidation and analysis related to all aspects of manufacturing cost control, production / manufacturing variances, overhead absorption as well as other key drivers of balance sheet, cash flow, such as inventory and capital spending. Provide leadership to F&B Operations Leadership for performing BU wide review of all variances and other cost of sales elements; indirect spend; and productivity metrics

  • Ensures that effective internal controls are in place to ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial reporting as well as the protection of company assets

  • Increases effectiveness of financial operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and developing direct report leaders; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing a climate of balancing business partnerships while challenging business decisions, and providing developmental opportunities for staff

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Degree in accounting and finance with several years of financial management experience

  • Excellent working knowledge and approaches to analyzing manufacturing results

  • Significant P&L activity with a large technology, scientific, and/or manufacturing business

  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and practices

  • Prior proven people leadership experience

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • MBA and/or CPA a plus

  • Knowledge of SAP a very strong plus

  • Knowledge of HFM a plus

  • Understanding of and experience with SOX documentation and audits a plus
