HOW YOU WILL MAKE THIS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

This Construction Project Coordinator position will be primarily working on the job site out of the Lebec, CA office, supporting Project Management and field crews.   Key responsibilities will be to provide project support and ensure that projects are being completed accurately and on time. This position will be hands-on in the various phases of assigned projects, requiring a high level of skill in time management and multi-tasking.  Coordination with internal departments, customers, and outside agencies with extreme attention to detail is essential to be successful in this role. 

SOME OF WHAT WE ENTRUST YOU TO DO

  •  Support the General Foreman with daily routine issues regarding construction of jobs

  • Gather close out documentation from the field, compile and submit as-builts/completion packs to clients

  • Mark out & submit USA tickets and site survey requests

  • Review job packs and confirm upcoming jobs are cleared, and ready for construction

  • Coordinate with the field crew and project management regarding any red-line changes

  • Coordinate necessary subcontractor services (traffic control, cranes, saw cutters, pavers, etc.), laydown yards, approved dump sites, etc. needed for jobs.

  • Create and submit timecards, diaries, and quantities in a timely manner

  • Support pre-construction activities including all dependencies to setup jobs for timely construction start

  • Support construction crews during construction phase to safely deliver a quality product

    WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • The ability to work weekends and overtime on an as needed basis  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize HCSS Heavy Job Field Management Software

  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving recor d

    YOUR PRIOR EXPERIENCE

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • Preferred: 1-2 years of Construction Administration or related experience, preferably in the construction utility industry

    COMPETITIVE PACKAGE

    The pay range for the Construction Project Coordinator in Bakersfield, CA is $30 to $34 hourly.

    This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on a number of factors, such as experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
