Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be instrumental in assembling electrical components based on detailed schematics and blueprints. Your role will involve using fine and small tools, hand tools, and power tools to accurately put together parts of auxiliar power converters and on-board systems for railway cars. You will start on the FCSD line with the goal to advance to the SCI Line, where precision and quality are paramount. This position offers a competitive starting pay with potential for increase based on specific experience, such as commercial painting.
Hard Skills
Ability to read and comprehend schematics
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
Experience with mechanical torque wrenches
Fine motor skills for using very small tools
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in BALLSTON SPA, New York.
Work Environment
Our work environment is clean and organized, dedicated to manufacturing auxiliary power converters and on-board systems for railway cars. The facility operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Safety is a priority, hence steel toe boots and work pants are required, and dressing in layers is recommended during fall and winter.
Pay
$18-$19/hr
