The Contracts/ Principal Contract Administrator will join the Airborne Multifunction Sensors (AMS) Division, EODAS & Sustainment Operating Unit (OU) contracts team. This position will act as the primary interface with business partners and prime/USG customers for proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration.

This requisition may be filled as a Contract Administrator or Principal Contract Administrator and will be located in Linthicum, MD and expected to work a hybrid schedule.

What You Will Get To Do:

The Contract Administrator/Principal Contract Administrator will manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Additionally, this position will ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood, ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.

  • Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

  • Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports.

  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations.

  • Compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications as a Contracts Administrator:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of Business, Law or related work experience or Master’s degree with 1+ years of Business, Law or related work experience - OR - 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Teams

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities; ability to start, oversee, and follow-through with major assignments and responsibilities;

  • Must be a team player, independent, proactive, and possess strong problem solving and organizational skills

Basic Qualifications as a Principal Contracts Administrator:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of Business, Law or related work experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of Business, Law or related work experience - OR - 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Teams

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities; ability to start, oversee, and follow-through with major assignments and responsibilities.

  • Must be a team player, independent, proactive, and possess strong problem solving and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications for both:

  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS

  • Professional experience in a regulated industry such as Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, or Telecommunications

  • Active DoD Clearance

Salary Range: $68,800 - $103,200

Salary Range 2: $84,600 - $127,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
