Actalent FPGA Engineer in Baltimore, Maryland

Exciting FPGA Opportunity!

Job Description

Control PCB design and testing of SiC based power electronic converter topologies including active rectifiers, isolated DC-DC converters, solid-state-transformers, and high-speed motor drives. Design and test DSP based digital control algorithms, FPGA supported pulse-width-modulators, and development of computer-based interface for digital control PCBs. Detailed digital control PCB designs including integration of FPGAs, A/D converters, and communications protocols.

Hard Skills

  • Software and Hardware programming with DSP and FPGA's

  • Power Electronics

  • High speed comms protocol experience such as CAN, RS485, RS232, and/or ethernet

  • Experience with analog interface electronics

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 39 Week(s) as a consultant

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Baltimore, Maryland and some days remote.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid remote schedule of 2-3 days per week on-site in a company that develops and manufactures power electronics systems mainly for the DOD - Navy and UASF. The company boasts a great culture and is very selective about who they bring on.
