Description:
Jr Network Engineer
• Tickets, break/fix, deployments, installs
• Active / deactivate ports, configurations, site modifications
Sr. Network Engineer
• Design and Implementation
• Looking at ways to optimize the network
Project work
• New properties opening up- setting up the network
• Upgrade to wireless topology- moving from shared secret for Wi-Fi access to 802.x
o 2.4 GHZ to 5.2 GHZ for wireless radios
• Potential GS opportunity for us – Marcliff is currently working on the plans around this right now
• Fortinet firewalls within the environment (would prefer Fortinet background )
• Layer 2 & 3 Rout / Switch
o Good understanding of managing and defining switch topology (analyzing traffic)
o Routing protocols- packet switching
• Main Data Center located in Towson at main campus
o Small data center located at facility in Elkridge, MD
o Co-location is in King of Prussia, PA
