About the Role

The Senior System Engineer plays a key role in the planning, design, installation, monitoring, and support of various Microsoft Windows Server Operating systems and services. This includes Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), DNS, PKI, as well as associated Windows Server applications such as Quest Change Auditor, Quest Recovery Manager for AD. Senior System Engineers are responsible for administering standards, policies, and procedures to enhance system availability, reliability, recoverability, and manageability. They also perform server and application maintenance, housekeeping tasks, and are expected to assist the team as needed under the direction of Infrastructure Management and other IT management. Furthermore, the Senior System Engineer will be responsible for managing and administering the software "OneIdentity Safeguard" as part of the Privileged Access Management team. This involves ensuring secure access control and enhancing system security.

Regular travel less then 15% of the time.

Your Responsibilities

  • Participating in all aspects of Active Directory management, including Entra ID, in a hybrid environment. This includes analyzing and monitoring the system at a high technical level to ensure optimal performance.

  • Troubleshooting, managing, and maintaining the performance of Domain Controllers and other related systems on Windows Servers operating systems.

  • Managing Magna's Privileged Access Management System, specifically Onedientity Safeguard. This involves maintaining and controlling access to sensitive information and resources.

  • Managing certificate management through our internal Microsoft Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), ensuring the secure communication and authentication of our network.

  • Implementing and adhering to internal standards, policies, and procedures in order to enhance the system's availability, reliability, recoverability, and manageability.

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

  • Microsoft Windows Server Certifications

  • Active Directory / EntraID Certifications

  • Microsoft Cloud Certifications

  • 5-7 years of work related experience

  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills to prioritize and deal with many issues and tasks at one time

  • Demonstrated analysis skills to ensure that solutions perform as expected

  • Collaborate and consult with other technical or development teams on projects

  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies, tools and applications related to job

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills to relate to various levels of users and relate their needs to other personnel. Must be able to express technical idiom in an unambiguous manner

  • Communicate with co-workers, management customers, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner

  • Conform with and abide by all Company codes, regulations, policies, values, work procedures and instructions

  • Prompt, regular attendance

  • Able to communicate in English (Language (listening, writing, speaking)
