Amazon's Appstore Platform services are highly available, mission critical services, handling a very large number of transactions and having a direct impact on the customer experience. We are in the process of building a technology team which will be responsible for building, enhancing, monitoring and supporting the Appstore Platform Services.
Key job responsibilities
This position demands technical knowledge, strong ability to troubleshoot documented issues and routinely go beyond the documentation to determine root cause.
This role should maintain operating systems, hosts, and networks; generate metrics; make monitor configuration changes; and perform change management activities using existing documentation. Engineers must be able to resolve documented autocut tickets and regularly work with development teams and senior Support Engineers to improve documentation, procedures, and tools, make simple changes to existing scripts with code reviews and begin to work on ticket root cause and show strong ownership of issues.

Basic Qualifications
2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
Experience in Unix
Experience scripting in modern program languages
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, networks and operating systems
