Position Description

POSITION TITLE: Analyst/Senior Analyst, Data Analytics & Consumer Insights

DEPT. / DIVISION: Data Analytics & Consumer Insights APAC

POSITION REPORTS TO: Manager, Data Analytics & Consumer Insights

LOCATION: Bangalore

DATE: August 2022


As the ‘Business Data Senior Analyst/Analyst’, you will be a part of a fast-moving regional team that works to inform key business, product, channel and marketing decisions with market, brand, and consumer data.

You will report into the ‘Data Analytics & Consumer Insights Manager’ in Bangalore and work closely with the APAC team in Hong Kong to draw insights from primary and secondary data, create business cases and develop presentations that support strategic projects for PVH Asia and its brands: Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.


 Perform analysis and generate actionable insights to help eCommerce, Retail, Marketing, and CRM teams across APAC markets to enhance category performance and understanding of consumers using large consumer, financial, and business data sets

 Undertake research to build upon internal competitor and consumer intelligence to monitor industry trends and discover white spaces

 Summarize and communicate complex findings and recommendations so that they can be easily consumed and embraced by business leaders


Internal: PVH APAC regional and market teams (i.e. Calvin Klein / Tommy Hilfiger Merchandising, Finance, eCom & Digital), Data Analytics & Consumer Insights team, Bangalore

External: As determined


Direct: N/A



 3+ years of work experience in data analytics, data visualization and advanced reporting; retail and apparel experience is strongly preferred

 Working with large datasets and summarizing the data with MS BI tools

 Strong strategic problem solving across variety of project topics, financial and business analysis experience

 Analyst level will be determined based on experience


Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field


Problem Solving

 Robust hypothesis-driven problem-solving skills with minimal guidance to adapt quickly to new and diverse range of strategic projects

Data Analysis

 End-to-end experience in designing and deploying reports/dashboards/data visualizations using MS Excel and Power BI and optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization.

 Should have experience of using DAX/MDX formulas for data models

 Have strong experience using MS Excel (e.g. XLOOKUP / INDEXMATCH, Pivot Table, Charts, assumption based modelling, large dataset data analysis)

 Experience in SQL, Python and other coding languages a plus

 A good understanding and working knowledge of databases associated with Consumers (E.g. CRM, survey data), Retail/Ecom data (E.g. Internal sales data, Nielsen, EDITED), and overall industries (E.g. Euromonitor, Global Data, Mintel etc.)


 Experience in using tables, charts, graphs, and other data visualizations to piece together a strong, compelling and visually attractive presentation using MS PowerPoint

 Experience in data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) a plus

Consumer Insights

 Ability to synthesis large amounts of information in order to extract key insights and recommendations

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)


 Comfortable being part of a team that spans different time zones and locations in APAC

 Passion for the fashion industry or branded consumer goods industries
