SAP DevOps Engineer - Cloud Data Engineer in Bangalore, India

Meet your team:
As a key member of the ISBN CloudOps Data Engineeringteam, you will collaborate with otherData Engineers, SREs and product engineering teams to build and participate in DevOps activities to maintain development, staging, and productiondatabase infrastructure for ISBN CloudOps Procurement, Business Network, Travel & Expense and External workforce application suites.
What you will do: :
Providing cluster design and administration support for SAP Aribas five nines critical globally distributed cloud database infrastructure
Analyzing automation, monitoring, and tools gaps in the Database infrastructure and design and building processes and solutions to address
Support in place cluster upgrades as well as public cloud migration activities on hyper-scaler platforms like GCP & AWS
Participate in Hana OEM to Hana cloud migration activities
Writing and maintaining automation pipeline for cluster deployment in public cloud domain
Work on security and encryption related activities
Provide on-call support and weekend maintenances for Aribas cloud infrastructure
Learn and adopt database technologies such as Kafka, Cassandra, Redis, Hadoop along with SAP HANA to provide development and operational support.
What you bring:
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related fieldor equivalent practical experience
Expert knowledge on SAP HANA and/or one or more NoSQL datastores like Cassandra, Kafka, Redis
4-6 years of experience in designing highly available, scalable and performance efficient database clusters
Hands-on experience on GCP, AWS, CloudSQL, terraform, ansible, git and Jenkins
Knowledge on implementing encryption at rest and encryption in transit
Experience working with petabyte scale complex deployments and project.
Motivated and self-driven to learn and adapt to new technologies
Tenacious troubleshooting skills: you can fix anything
Good to have skills:
Hadoop administration experience
Advanced LINUX and UNIX skills and experience
Familiarity with infrastructure automation using tools like Salt, Terraform, Chef, and Puppet
Experience in a "continuous deployment" environments
Ability to juggle multiple projects and drive them from the ground up in a fast-paced environment
Adept at using source code revision systems such as Perforce, GIT, Subversion or CVS.
