Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance and Accounting to lead our global finance operations. This key role will oversee global bookkeeping, financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, vendor relationships, tax and more . Based in India, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, maintaining compliance across regions, and ensuring smooth financial operations across all our global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping & Accounting: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-term financial planning to support decision-making and business growth. Work with company executives to create a yearly operating budget. This includes developing, analyzing and interpreting information to evaluate operating results in terms of profitability and performance against budget

  • Global Operations: Manage financial operations across multiple regions (US, UK, India and Singapore), ensuring compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and international financial standards.

  • Cash Flow Management: Ensure efficient cash flow management, cost controls, and working capital optimization to maintain financial stability across global operations. Manage all tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, employee expenses and sales commissions.

  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish and maintain strong internal controls, processes, and financial systems to safeguard the company's assets and ensure SOX compliance, if applicable.

  • Financial Strategy: Provide strategic financial leadership and support in shaping the company's long-term financial plans and investments.

  • Financial Vendor Strategy and Management: Develop the right strategy on what should be in-house, outsourced in different regions with a view to optimize the over cost of financial operations. Work closely to determine the grade of vendors, manage vendor output and outcomes and maintain the overall accountability for the financial compliance across all regions.

  • Regional operations: Understand the nuances of each region, its practices and standardize external vendor selection, payment policies, procedures to ensure timely receipt of services, contract management, and participate in renewal negotiations.

  • Employee operations: Ensure internal customer satisfaction with use of tools, processes and human touch to enable best-in-breed financial policies, timely payroll, as well as tax-saving benefits that improve employee morale and engagement with the company.

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with regional finance teams, executive leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders to align on financial goals and strategies.

  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing global finance team, driving excellence in execution and fostering a culture of financial discipline and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/CPA/MBA is a plus.

  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in a technology or PaaS/SaaS environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and accounting management in a global organization.

  • In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP), tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across time zones and geographies.

  • Proficiency in financial management software and systems (ERP, CRM).
