JOB DESCRIPTION
A Sr. Principal Storage Architect is a multi-talented information technology professional and accomplished storage infrastructure expert that will contribute to a dynamic, infrastructure design team. The Sr. Principal Storage Architect objectives include designing modern, highly available data storage solutions for a leading semiconductor company of intelligent power and sensing technologies.
The role requires versatility along with initiative. The ideal candidate will have extensive storage infrastructure design/engineering expertise, know how to think “outside-the-box”, and will be responsible for the architecture of critical corporate, engineering and manufacturing data storage. The Sr. Principal Storage Architect will work closely with other architects, infrastructure team members, application developers, and business stakeholders. Adhering to industry best practices to support onsemi’s business objectives and user community experience is of utmost importance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Storage management subject matter expert
Minimum of 20 years’ progressive information technology experience
Minimum of 12 years’ storage mangement experience with at least 10 years’ experience designing and engineering storage solutions in an enterprise environment
Expertise architecting hybrid cloud storage solutions on modern NetApp data infrastructure
Extensive experience with NFS, SMB, FC, FCoE, and NVMe protocols and a good understanding of transport layers
Experience with Qumulo and Komprise platforms
Experience with containerized storage solutions (e.g. Kubernetes)
Experience with public cloud storage (Azure Blobs, AWS EBS, S3, FSx, etc.)
Solid Linux and/or Windows system administration competency
Exceptional use of visual communication tools (PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
Demonstrated expertise presenting at all levels, ranging from technical to non-technical resources, including C level executives
Ability to effectively socialize and acquire approval for ideas, concepts, designs, and solutions is an absolute must
