We are looking for: Senior Software Engineer - PHP
You’ll make a difference by:
Excellent knowledge of PHP 7+ Years OOP with 2+ years (intermediate) / 4+ years (senior) of experience.
Excellent knowledge of PHP MVC frameworks, ideally Laravel and/or CodeIgniter.
Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
Excellent knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB.
Excellent written and spoken English.
You’ll win us over by:
Experience and enthusiasm for working with legacy code.
Experience with code review process.
Understanding of testing – PHPUnit, Behat, Cypress.
Knowledgeable and keen to apply industry standards.
Experience with Docker or similar development tools.
Experience using version control, ideally GIT or AWS Code Commit.
Experience using Jira or similar systems.
Good to have:
Degree in Maths, Computer Science, or similar area.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with VueJS.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with asset compilation processes.
Previous experience with working with and optimising very large databases.
Previous experience working with financial/transactional data.
Ability to support with external audits if required (e.g., ISO27001).
Knowledge of MariaDB ColumnStore or alternative column-based database technologies.
Experience with monitoring and code-scanning tools (Sentry, SonarQube, Grafana, Nessus).
