A part of the Engineering systems organization in AE+P, there are various cutting edge teams changing the way Azure code is built, validated, and released across the division and the entire company. As a software engineer in Engineering systems, you will be responsible for driving new investments to solve hard problems, building, managing and maintaining key infrastructure components using advanced software techniques, defining architectures, partnering with teammates, ensuring high code quality, high availability, security, compliance, and scalability of our services.

You will have opportunities to learn and grow in your role developing features, envisioning best practices for the container and VM ecosystem within, and contributing to our Azure based services as needed. You will partner effectively with senior mentors on the team to deliver value and impact to the OneBranch product line. The team has a proven track record of delivering mission critical and reliable services for thousands of Azure engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and validate solutions and services to continue to secure our products, ensuring high quality and compliance standards.

• Create and manage different features of secure and compliant services in a Linux ecosystem (container and VM ecosystem)

• Identify opportunities to leverage and help large development teams be more productive and agile with their engineering CI/CD pipelines, deployment tools, incident management, change management, monitoring, automation framework, data analytics, etc. and driving innovation into driving efficiencies.

• Ensure appropriate telemetry, monitoring and alerting for developed features and services

• Work hands-on and collaborate with peers, local and remote teams through design and implementation, setting examples for good engineering practices

• Participate and provide high quality feedback in design reviews, code reviews and other team activities

• Deliver solutions that allow Azure teams to meet their business needs ship services to production quickly and securely

Qualifications

Qualifications Required :

• 3+ years of full stack software development experience (preferably with a 3GL like C, C++, or C#)

• Mastery of developing managed code and cloud services

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in Linux, containers and VM infrastructure ecosystem.

• Experience enhancing Azure DevOps and infrastructure management

• Experience in .NET core will a nice plus.

• Ability and willingness to quickly learn about new areas

• Solid communication skills, especially for interactions with cross division teams

• Projects demonstrating experience in one or more stage of development cycle: design, implementation, deployment, and live site

• Passionate about D&I (Diversity & Inclusion) initiatives

• Strong problem-solving skills
