What You'll Do
We are looking for a highly skilled Python Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating high-quality automation scripts, frameworks, and tools, and will have experience with data center products such as servers, storage, and switches, as well as cloud services, Kubernetes, and AWS. You will be a key player in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems, driving efficiency and scalability in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation Development: Design, develop, and deploy high-quality Python automation testing frameworks, scripts, and support tools. Proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with cutting-edge technologies are essential for this role.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously learn and apply new technologies and methodologies to improve automation processes and stay ahead of industry trends.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA teams, to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Monitoring and Maintenance: Maintain and monitor cloud-based production environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Who You'll Work With
We are seeking talented individuals to join our Intersight test automation team within Cisco's Data Center Compute portfolio. Cisco Intersight is a comprehensive infrastructure lifecycle management solution that provides end-to-end server configuration control in a SaaS-based or on-premises tool. It enables automation and workflow orchestration for servers, networking, storage, and virtualization.
Who You Are
You are a candidate with strong Python test automation development knowledge, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work with a multi-functional and geographically distributed team. You are willing to learn and are passionate about working on a wide range of product areas. You work well independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills are essential. You have a strong background in the software test development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with 7+ years of relevant experience.
Expertise in Python automation: Fundamentally strong in oops concepts, data structures and algorithms.
Experience working on cloud infrastructure with exposure to microservices architecture.
Experience working with data center products like servers, storage, or switches.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Experience in working with Linux-based systems and various databases(Elasticsearch, MongoDB, MySQL).
Understanding of network protocols and web services (REST, SOAP).
Additional Skills:
Understanding of machine learning and AI applications in automation.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
