Cisco Software QA Engineer --- Java/Python Automation skill with Observability tools --- Experience (3-6 Yrs) in Bangalore, India

What You’ll Do

  • As a Quality Engineer, you will develop and automate functional, adaptability and performance end-to-end tests

  • You will review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with quality assurance guidelines, standards and certification; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.

  • You will partner with Product Management, Engineering Leadership, Solution Assurance, SRE to ensure reliability and availability of the microservices.

  • You will own the quality and deployment of your code from concept to production release.

  • Problem solving and debugging the failures to root cause using latest observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).

  • You will create and maintain automated tools that validates your service end to end along with appropriate performance consideration.

  • You will build, maintain and improve the continuous integration and delivery pipelines that can be used to drive quality and consistency throughout the full software lifecycle.

Who You’ll Work With

  • You will work mostly with Architects and Engineers inside and outside of your immediate team - collaborating with whoever necessary to deliver customer value.

  • You will work with Engineering management and contribute to technology strategy for your immediate team.

  • You will work with Customer Success and Technical Assistance teams to support customer issues with top priority.

Who You Are

  • You must-have 3-5+ Years of experience in Python/Java Automation skills

  • Demonstrated ability developing and maintaining functional and end-to-end tests for microservices in a highly scalable and reliable cloud environment

  • Capacity to develop modular and maintainable test harnesses

  • Cloud software development, preferably with Cisco Teamwork and Contact Center technologies

  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and processes

  • Expertise in design patterns and experience building and validating RESTful services using REST APIs

  • Understanding of source control concepts and systems, CI/CD pipelines and exposure to Git

  • Experience with build and deployment technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes and Docker is mandatory

  • Exposure to any database and optimization of queries to fine-tune your application is recommended.

  • You should have experience with observability tools for metrics, logging, and monitoring (e.g. Splunk, Grafana)

  • Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, databases, etc.) and strong understanding of design patterns and principles

  • A passion for quality and an attention to detail

  • Self-learner, independent, excellent communication skills

  • You are an addict to problem solving - only the hardest problems will satisfy you. You can navigate complex issues around application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

  • Ability to learn complex technologies quickly, work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
