JOB DESCRIPTIONTitle: Software QA LeadLocation: India

The Software QA Lead assists in overseeing Mouser’s Testing Team in Information Services and is the primary point of contact for the program deliverables and interface across teams. They have the ability to lead and manage projects and teams with little or limited involvement of other senior managers; liaising with project managers and the business. Excellent business acumen, communication, interpersonal, technical and leadership skills are necessary. Shares their experience and knowledge with ease and is looked upon as a mentor by others.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Testing all aspects of the product/system including function/component, system, performance, regression and service

• Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases

• Able to Create, Assign, and track the project/module work plans for delivery and also provide the technical guidance for work completion

• Ability to plan work schedule for on time delivery as per the defined quality standards

• Ability to troubleshoot quality issues and modify test procedures based on the Root Cause Analysis.

• Ensure process improvements and compliance in the assigned module, and participate in technical discussions or review

• Develop the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing.

• Leading the QA team to design and create test conditions, test data and test automation scripts to address business and technical use cases.

• Experience in Various Testing Phases- Functional, Regression, Integration, User Acceptance and Performance Testing

• Ability to Define metrics, create reports, and develop statistics, for organizational reporting and monitoring of quality processes within QA department.

• Analyze existing QA quality processes and develop new or revised quality standards as needed

• Oversees daily work flow and projects for team.

• Subject matter expert for team job functions.

• Fosters a learning environment and mentors team members.

• Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgments.

• Assists management with development of results oriented processes and project management.

• Initiates, establishes and maintains highly effective relationships with business contacts of various cultures, and at all levels.

• Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.

• Extremely confidential and trustworthy.

• Regular attendance at work is an essential part of the job.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

• Expertise in testing techniques and review process

• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source automation technologies and tools

• Experience in automation testing frameworks and tools- Selenium, BDD, pytest, QTP, Robot Framework, JMeter

• Scripting using Python, VB Script, C, Java

• Experience of testing REST APIs

• Understanding of Test Architecture and design

• Exposure to working in Agile, DeVops, and Continuous Delivery Environment

• ISTQB Foundation Ceritification is a plus

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field. In addition to the above the following experience is required:

• Internal candidates: Minimum 1 years as a highly performing Mouser Software Quality Analyst/Engineer III or a higher-level position.

• External candidates: Minimum 2 years as a Senior Quality Analyst/Engineer or a higher-level position.

• 6+ years experience in critical job functions of the team; can be combination of internal and external experience.

• Good to have hands on experience in both manual and automation testing.

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing

• Team handling experience is a plus
