General Summary:
Customer Engineering (CE) team helps customers with the design specific customizations in various technology areas, and support launch of products right from concept design to commercialization.
Qualcomm is looking for person with good knowledge and hands-on experience in Design/Development/Debugging aspects of Board support package (BSP) and System level analysis.
The Main responsibility is to provide direct support to Qualcomm customers and partners with the design, development and debug of Qualcomm reference designs SW related issues and helping to customize/optimize software to meet the product requirements helping them launch products on time.
The Candidate must quickly ramp-up onto an existing project, understand Automotive platform Hardware and Software driver architecture.
Qualification Criteria:
• Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in the automotive, embedded, or mobile industry.
Technical Skill Sets:
Operating Systems: 8+ years of experience with High-Level Operating Systems (HLOS) like Linux, Android, and QNX Microkernel Architecture.
BSP/Device Driver Development: Hands-on experience in software design and development on complex embedded computing platforms.
ARM Architecture: In-depth knowledge of ARMv8 CPU Architecture, including Scheduler, Memory Management, Interrupt and Timer, Assembly Coding, MMU, IOMMU/ARM SMMU, and ARM instruction pipeline.
Virtualization: Experience with Linux containers and hypervisors.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in C, C++, and ARM Assembly programming.
Debugging Tools: Experience with tools like Trace32, GDB, and oscilloscope/Logical Analyzer.
System-Level Debugging: Skills in debugging complex system-level issues such as crashes, reboots, and out-of-memory situations on embedded real-time operating systems.
Secure Boot and Trusted Operating Systems: Exposure to secure boot and trusted OS concepts.
Serial Peripherals: Experience with UART, SPI, I2C, PCIe on both hardware and software aspects.
Qualcomm Platform Solutions: Experience with Qualcomm platform solutions is a plus.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Motivation and Learning: High motivation, quick learning ability, and self-starter attitude.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
