The Inbound Proactive team, part of Amazon Fulfilment Technologies at Amazon, owns critical aspects of the Amazon Supply Chain. We manage hundreds of millions of materials form vendors and sellers through our receive platform and ensure they are ready to be merchandised and served to our millions of customers worldwide. We're at the intersection of software that can never go down and need to move at agile, internet speed. We're at the hub of Amazon's massive, worldwide service-oriented architecture for supply chain. We are looking for a Software Development Manager who is excited about leading a talented team to innovate, tackle complex problems and operate a complex and mission critical system under extreme loads.
The technical leader who can own a set of core services, own driving Operational Excellence for those services and be a focal point for project management. This team will own a broad array of receive services that are part of the foundational layer which enables Inbound Fulfilment at Amazon.
The successful candidate is expected to be a technical program manager who can deliver through leaders and who understands and sets a high bar for all parts of the software development and deployment life cycle including: design, development, documentation, testing and operations. You must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. We're looking for people who are smart and can get things done.
Key job responsibilities
This role is for a highly motivate technical leader who can define the next generation of foundational architecture and services for AFT Inbound Receive function, that will change the way we store, process and drive insights into our Inbound material movement through our supply chain and warehouses.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
3+ years of software development experience
5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
