Commander, Navy Installations FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Bangor, Washington

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COMMUNITY of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST. You will serve as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Lead Analyst This action is for a Temporary Promotion NTE 1 Year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to 3 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Temporary actions taken under this announcement may be made permanent without further competition. Responsibilities You will oversee operations of comptroller functions and related financial management programs. You will advise program personnel on budget and finance program planning and execution. You will review financial data (e.g., accounting data, system summaries) to verify account balances meet project objectives. You will analyze financial management processes, documentation, data, and system functionality to ensure compliance with applicable policy and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system processes. You will partner with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) personnel to resolve difficulties in fund administration. You will motivate a team to complete financial tasks on time and within defined constraints. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Researching and enforcing fiscal policies, particularly as they relate to budget execution; 2) Maintaining financial services that include planning, budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, and financial management reporting; 3) Preparing and presenting financial briefings to higher level management; 4) Maintaining an effective system of financial controls to ensure complete accountability for federal financial resources. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines.
