The Talent Acquisition Partner is in charge of delivering best in class recruiting experience to Hiring Managers and candidates throughout the recruiting life cycle in line with corporate objectives. They provide strategic support to the Line manager and an excellent experience for candidates while developing innovative methods to source talent and promote the Shire brand. They partner with the HRBP and TA Lead to understand the internal talent pool, create proactive demand plans and long term external talent pools.

Deliver Full Cycle Recruitment for Director plus roles

  • Accountable for Speed, Cost and experience through the recruitment cycle

  • Driving demand planning discussions and forecast demand with accuracy

  • Developing sourcing methods to find the best drivers for talent

  • Utilizing digital sourcing tools to develop pipelines of talent against talent strategies and continuously improving sourcing channel innovationMaintain and report on pertinent TA data to HR, business, and TA stakeholders.

  • Adheres to the established Shire HR policies and procedures, including the Internal Application policy, the Employee Referral Program, the Position Requisition Process.

Deliver High Quality Talent Acquisition Services including management of the RPO as per the Service Delivery Model

  • Manages an outsourced solution to ensure the service delivery to the business

  • Continuous monitoring of the speed, quality and cost of the service delivery solution

  • Point of contact to RPO Project Manager(s) for process questions and issue escalations

  • Ensures a healthy mix of sources including an significant amount of direct hires, referrals and talent moves

  • Works on global or local recruitment projects to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the talent acquisition function (e.g. Employer branding)

  • Shares best practice and ideas amongst the broader recruitment team

  • Develops and maintains effective partnerships internally with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Compensation Specialists, and other members of the HR and Business community

Build Talent Pipeline

  • Through proactive direct sourcing, advertising, networking and referrals, builds an external network of selected and targeted prospective candidates and industry contacts

  • Owning proactive talent relationship management. Inspiring passive talent about Shire and delivering an exceptional experience throughout the engagement process

  • Conduct talent mapping as required for the respective client group

  • Analyzes current and future market trends, with an understanding of Shire and the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, in order to develop effective talent acquisition strategies

  • Supports, develops and maintains a thorough understanding Shire’s business model, culture, leadership capabilities and Talent Management strategy

Talent Advising & Hiring Manager Partnership

  • Advises the Hiring Manager on Talent and Recruitment Strategy

  • Effectively challenges hiring managers and business leaders to ensure hiring activities have the necessary level of priority and to select a candidate considering the appropriate mix of capabilities, technical skills, “fit” and long-term potential
