Role description: Arcadis is currently seeking a self-motivated Junior Level Bridge Design Engineer to join our National Bridge Group in the in our Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, or Cincinnati Office. Arcadis' Bridge Group delivers "best in class" technical and innovative solutions to our clients on the design, delivery, and management of these critical structural resources to our State, municipal and design-build clients. In this position, you will assist in the technical design and plan production for projects of varying sizes. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your design skills and build management skills. Role accountabilities: You will utilize excellent technical skills in the design of bridges and other transportation related structures, including experience with AASHTO LRFD. As a great communicator you will also use your written and verbal skills to convey information to technical and non-technical individuals. This position requires minimal travel. A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position. Qualifications & Experience: Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• EI or the ability to obtain EI within one year from date of hire
• Experience reading and reviewing bridge plans;
• Familiarity with LEAP Bridge (CONSPAN and RCPier specifically), MerlinDash, MathCAD, Microstation, Microsoft Office

Preferred qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Education preferred: MS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Years of experience: 1-5 years' experience in bridge engineering
• Experience with ODOT bridge policies and procedures desired
• Bridge Maintenance experience
• Bridge Inspection experience
