Eurofins Analytical Scientist (Protein Analytics) (all genders) in Basel, Switzerland

PSS is our award winning service model where we provide and manage scientific services directly within our clients’ facilities, mainly within the pharmaceutical sector. It is a global service offering and we have been managing services through this model since 2002.

For our customer, an internationally leading pharmaceutical company in Basel, we are currently looking to hire an Analytical Scientist (Protein Analytics). Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing routine analytical testing of samples according to established methodologies in collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Performing individual experiments to support complex tasks such as method development, method qualification and product characterization studies

  • Performing maintenance, testing and qualification of equipment

  • Customer interaction

For this interesting opportunity we are looking for somebody with

  • Apprenticeship (preferable with a BSc) as a Laboratory Technician Biology/Chemistry (5+ years) or BSc/ MSc (3+ years) in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry

  • Capable of independently carrying out projects

  • Experience in analysis of spectroscopy (e.g. UV-VIS); chromatography (SEC, AC, RPC, IEC); capillary electrophoresis (CZE, CE-SDS); ELISA; handling of robotic systems (e.g. TECAN, Hamilton, Trinean); compendial testing (e.g. color,

    clarity/opalescence, osmolality)

  • Service provider experience with a customer-centric mindset is a plus

  • Good knowledge of English, written and spoken

  • Good knowledge of German is a plus
