Job Title: Painter
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and preparing surfaces for painting, preparing paint for application, and operating hand-held spray guns and portable powder coat equipment. You will apply primer and other coatings according to paint specifications and blueprints. Additionally, you must be able to disassemble and re-assemble paint equipment for cleaning.
Responsibilities
Clean and prepare surfaces for painting.
Prepare paint for application.
Operate hand-held spray guns to apply various types of paint.
Operate portable powder coat equipment.
Apply primer and other coatings per paint specifications and blueprints.
Disassemble and re-assemble paint equipment for cleaning.
Essential Skills
Experience in industrial painting.
Proficient in operating hand-held spray guns and paint booth equipment.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and paint specifications.
Knowledge of metal preparation, sanding, and polishing.
Experience with primer application.
Ability to assemble and disassemble paint equipment for cleaning.
Understanding of OSHA guidelines and proper use of protective equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience as an industrial painter is preferred.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. with frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and climbing of ladders.
Knowledge of different painting methods is preferred.
Work Environment
The facility is clean and well-organized. The shop offers a safe and efficient working environment, with all necessary protective equipment provided. Employees are expected to fully participate in and support the quality system.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00
