University Hospitals Health System Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology in Beachwood, Ohio
Description A Brief Overview Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Hours: Monday-Friday day shift - No Holidays or Weekends (4-10s from 7 am to 5:30 pm, but open to discussing 5-8s from 7:30 am to 4 pm) Call: Call is usually 1 night of call per week (5:30 pm to 7am) and 1 weekend of call every 6 weeks (7 am to 7pm). Flexibility is required based on staffing. Staff will be required to come in when called for emergency procedures. Types of Procedures you will see in this department include: thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, thyroid biopsies, bone marrow and bone biopsies, other organ biopsies (lung, liver, kidney, etc), coronary heartflow CT scans, abscess drains. This team also PICC/Midline training! ACLS preferred or can train, perform minimum to moderate procedural sedation for these types of procedures. *6 months to 1 year of med/surg experience is highly preferred. What You Will Do Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
