Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Test Conductor – Mission Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at Beale AFB, CA.
Description:
Responsible to ensure engineering tests serve mission objectives and mechanisms are in place to execute the tests. Responsible for testing all customer samples. Oversees the operational aspects of engineering tests and serves as liaison to program, engineering and line management. Reviews status of test requirements manages schedules and prepares reports. Selects and supervises technicians during test. Assesses anomalies and develops resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Test and Quality Engineering.
Basic Qualifications:
8 years of Navigator/Mission Planner experience in operations and/or training environment with a Bachelor of Science; OR 7 years of experience in operations and/or training environment with a Master of Science; OR 4 years of experience in operations and/or training environment with a PhD OR 13 years of aviation based meteorological experience in operations and/or training environment with a high school diploma; in lieu of degree.
Experience as a US Air Force Navigator/Mission Planner, US Navy or USMC Naval Flight Officer (NFO), or equivalent.
Experience with mission planning, execution, and debriefing.
Experience with technical publications.
Experience with crew/cockpit resource management (CRM).
Active TS/SCI required with an active investigation in the last 5 years and the ability to acquire and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) per business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal training unit instructor, weapon school graduate
Experience with mission planning tools i.e. JMPS, AFMSS.
Salary Range: $115,400 - $173,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
