Diekmann Farms, Inc. Farmworkers, Crops and Livestock in Beardsley, Minnesota

Need 3 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers to work in Beardsley, MN. From: 03/01/2024 to 12/30/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day A general work week is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, because of the complexity of the crop conditions workers may be requested to work long days as well as on Saturdays, Sundays or Federal Holidays, depending upon the conditions of the commodities being produced. Therefore, hours above 40 per week may be offered but are not guaranteed. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 08/01/2024 JOB DUTIES: Assist with operating farming equipment to till soil, plant, harvest and haul crops. Assist with swine duties such as vaccinations and treatment of sickness. General maintenance and servicing of equipment and farm grounds. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months experience. Must have a driver's license or be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
