Maintenance Mechanic I - 2nd Shift; Beaverton, MI

Position Description

Job Summary

Shift: Monday - Friday, 2nd Shift

Employees in this position are expected to perform preventive maintenance, inspection, and minor repairs and improvements on the building, machinery, and equipment which includes mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems under the direction of the Maintenance lead. Maintain a safe working environment, comply with all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and participate in functional department safety meetings. Exhibit good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management Systems) requirements. Overtime and weekend work will be required as needed. Other duties not listed may be required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED; required.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in maintenance of a manufacturing facility; preferred.

• Basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills; preferred.

• Understands basic MIOSHA/OSHA standards, safety, and quality issues involved in maintaining equipment and the facility; required.

• Familiar with emergency procedures, equipment, and systems of hazardous materials; required.

• Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the site plus meet commitments and deadlines; required.
