Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Beaverton, Oregon. The focus of this role is to manage the collection processes for our customers, ensuring payments are received in a timely manner and any issues are resolved efficiently. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, utilizing skills in Microsoft Excel, customer service, accounts receivable and NetSuite.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with customers via phone and email to collect payments

• Develop strategies to minimize customer payment aging

• Handle commercial collections and monitor customer credit accounts

• Advise on account write-offs when necessary

• Manage a portfolio of accounts and invoices

• Collaborate with the accounting department as necessary

Requirements

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis and reporting.

• In-depth understanding of Collection Processes is necessary.

• Strong Customer Service skills are required to effectively handle client queries and complaints.

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures.

• Experience with NetSuite software for managing financials and accounting highly preferred.

• Strong problem-solving abilities to resolve payment and account issues.

• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document and report collections activity.

• Strong negotiation skills to ensure timely and effective debt repayment.

• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards.

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
