Nike Senior Director, Finance Strategy & Enablement in Beaverton, Oregon

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will directly report into the VP of Finance Operations & Transformation, and partner closely with the Executive Finance Leadership Team (EFLT) and their sub-functional leaders, as well as key cross-functional partners (e.g., Human Resources, Technology, Global Process Owners, Nike Acceleration Office, and SEC capability leads). You will also work closely with outside vendors through Managed Services and Consulting engagements.

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance and Transformation professional to lead our Finance Transformation Management office and Global Finance Automation center of excellence.

  • Bachelor's or MBA (Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field) plus 10+ years of experience with Finance and Transformational capabilities; or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.

  • 2-5 years of experience in Finance (including but not limited to Financial Planning & Analysis, Controlling, Investor Relations, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experiences)

  • 2-5 years of experience in Transformational capabilities, such as program/portfolio management, change management, automation, and/or value management, including relevant experience in developing and implementing transformation across dimensions (people, process, data, tools) and functions

  • Demonstrated experience influencing and partnering with the c-suite and executive-level, leveraging excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver regular presentations to executive leadership.

  • Process improvement mindset and related capabilities.

  • Excellent coaching and leadership skills; ability to create a good working atmosphere with room for professional growth, strong ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Experience initiating and driving the strategic ideation process contributing meaningful, innovative approaches to creating and operationalizing the long-term transformation strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will be responsible for developing & enabling end-to-end Finance strategies through transformational management capabilities (portfolio/program, change, value & strategy) and technology expertise (including Automation and AI). This role will serve the entire Finance function in the creation, refinement, tracking, and implementation of our long-term transformational roadmap and plan. Specifically, you will lead a large, experienced team with the following key accountabilities:

  • Co-develop and manage with the Finance leadership team the long-term transformation strategy and priorities for the Finance function, anchored to industry benchmarking and clear objectives; inclusive of translating functional needs into operational, integrated plans.

  • Govern the overall Finance transformation roadmap and portfolio, inclusive of status, integration of project plans, dependencies, and impacts across all Finance and key non-Finance programs through a common framework; modify plans through capacity analysis and changes to timelines.

  • Deliver Finance transformation portfolio through devoted project management and change management capabilities (including stakeholder impact assessments, overall change plans, and content & communications).

  • Develop and manage value cases for the transformation program, inclusive of reporting against measures of success and achievement of targets.

  • Manage the holistic intake process for new and changed projects / programs, inclusive of prioritization framework and integration into overall roadmap.

  • Deliver automation solutions for all Global Finance utilizing multiple platforms (e.g., RPA); co-develop and deliver AI strategy.

  • Develop and manage functional learning and develop strategy & program, inclusive of upskilling talent to meet maturity goals and expectations.
