Leonardo DRS, Inc. Contracts Coordinator in Bedford, Nova Scotia
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Contracts the Contracts Coordinator will be responsible for general business administration of assigned portions of program and entails maintenance of various contract department records including internal databases. The Contracts Coordinator will also provide general support to Contract Specialists, Business Unit Leaders and Program Managers as required, to ensure the commercial interests of the company are served and protected in dealings with third parties.
As a Contracts Coordinator, your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Contract Administration
Clarifying customer requirements and ensuring proposals are responsive
Initiating quotation requests describing estimate and proposal requirements
Preparing cost proposal; reviews support package and technical proposal and making submissions to customer
Review of contracts for correctness and conformance to negotiated terms and conditions and arrange for formal company acceptance through CRAF (contracts review & approval form) procedure
Close out of program on completion of all contractual obligations
Responsible for minor programs under limited supervision of Director, Commercial Services; expected to work without supervision in many instances
Contract Support
Preparing, issuing, and maintaining Sales Orders
Ensuring proper documentation and authorization for all contract deliverables
Ensuring return of any customer furnished equipment, material, or data; and records are archived in a manner that will facilitate any subsequent program audit activities
Providing systems reports as required
Managing agreements database and preparation and management of Non-Disclosure Agreements
Working with Legal on various agreements
Supporting Finance and issuance of invoicing
Supporting Bookings reporting
Business Development and Proposal Activities
Managing the Proposal Approval Form database
Maintaining project bid and proposal files
Maintaining Teaming, License, Representation, Non-Disclosure, and Proprietary Information agreements
Award and contract summary memorandum and distributing as necessary
What you require to be successful in the role:
Possession of a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or related field of study from a recognized post‑secondary institution or equivalent years of experience
A minimum of two (2) years of relatable experience
Training in government contract administration or equivalent on the job experience
Some knowledge of government/defence procurement policy and contracting principles
Proficiency in PC tools (MS Office, E-mail, Internet searches, Material Resource Planning Systems)
Deltek Costpoint experience preferred
Ability to efficiently organize and maintain complex contractual files
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Effective team player with highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to interface well with people of different disciplines and levels
