Located in Bedhampton, Eaton's Aerospace business stands as a global leader in aerospace fuel systems.

The core business of Bedhampton is; assembly and test of hydraulic parts for motors and pumps on aeroplanes.

We are seeking a Buyer who will be responsible for procuring materials, supplies, or equipment for a business. Your key duties include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching potential item selections, and maintaining inventory of current products. Buyers play a crucial role in maintaining efficient supply chains and ensuring that businesses can meet their requirements while minimizing costs .

What you’ll do:

  • Supplier relationship management, conducting weekly, monthly, quarterly business reviews as required with assigned suppliers

  • Coordinate with Goods Inwards on supplier delivery queries

  • Coordinate with Quality Dept on supplier defective material return, rework or exchange

  • Supporting daily meetings with Material Planning to ensure flow of material to production and manage exceptions

  • Coordinate with off site support services based in India

  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable on billing and/or credit issues.

  • Evaluates and monitors current supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery & cost.

  • Monitoring of supplier replenishment methods

  • Balances current and future demand requirements with supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements

  • Follows and maintains system parameters in line with model plant processes & policies.

  • Drives and responds to action message report (expedites, de-expedites, cancels and past due

Qualifications:

  • Degree/HNC Business/Purchasing/Engineering or equivalent

  • CIPS (beneficial but not essential)

Skills:

  • Procurement experience (preferred)

  • MRP/ERP Knowledge

  • Negotiation skills

  • Good communication and team skills

  • High levels of drive, enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoy trouble shooting and resolving day to day issues
