Overview :
AT&T’s Research, Analytics and Impact team is looking for an innovative and experienced candidate to join our B2B Product Research Team. Part of our mission is to support AT&T Business’ Product Evolution through the full Marketing life cycle – identifying opportunities, concept design, prototype/test, go to market design, and pilot/full launch – for Enterprise and Mid-Market business clients.
As a member of the B2B Product Research team, this role will deliver high quality, high impact market and competitive analysis, and support execution of best-in-class research. The position requires strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods, deep knowledge of B2B markets, as well as market and competitive analyses.
The Lead Market Research & Analysis will collect data from multiple sources, prepare analyses, and partner with both internal and external strategy organizations all in support of developing new B2B product and services. They will partner with cross functional team members to synthesize B2B market intelligence, competitive positioning, and projected future growth, to help shape executive decisions and in-market actions throughout the end-to-end product lifecycle.
Candidates must be curious, have a passion for data and analysis, and the drive to do whatever it takes to get the job done right. This person will craft analyses with a strong point of view that equip product and service teams to make marketplace decisions. They must also be capable of executing multiple parallel assignments within established deadlines. A sense of ownership and driving to results, paired with a strong desire for meaningful collaboration, is essential.
Responsibilities:
Prepare marketing-centric analyses that will be used in the formulation of B2B product and service development and launch by synthesizing market research survey data and insights, publicly available 3rd party sources, and proprietary AT&T B2B customer information.
Organize, plan and lead market and competitive analysis activities, including but not limited to execution of quantitative and/or qualitative research, within assigned timeframes and budget. Establish and monitor ongoing projects to ensure best-in-class execution.
Develop high quality written presentations and reports for senior management that provide a point of view on the viability of B2B product and service options.
Apply analytical findings in the development and support of go-to-market programs.
Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the B2B marketplace and create, manage, and distribute knowledge sources.
Maintain awareness of industry trends and developments through multiple face-to-face and secondary vehicles.
Position Qualifications:
6 to 8 years of proven skills in gathering and synthesizing third-party intelligence and research from multiple internal and external sources.
Experience executing analysis and research at a consulting firm, at a corporation in a relevant industry, and/or large, highly matrixed organizations.
Excellence in structuring/solving problems, drawing conclusions and formulating recommendations. Proven ability to net out key insights from detailed data and tell an actionable story.
Ability to communicate effectively in both formal and informal situations (verbally and non-verbally).
Ability to collaborate and partner across internal departments, garnering the best possible ideas and outcomes for the desired business goals.
Excellent writing, summarization, and logical presentation structuring/development skills.
Strong, professional persona with the ability to interact effectively with internal clients and external parties/outside service providers.
Collaborative working style, strong listening skills, with ability to incorporate multiple viewpoints into discussion and decision making.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Marketing, Business Administration, Social Sciences) required.
Extensive knowledge in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel) as well as experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS etc.).
Preferred Experience:
4+ years of Marketing/competitive analysis experience across the B2B full marketing lifecycle (value proposition development, pricing, packaging, promotions, advertising/messaging, channels, etc.).
Master’s degree preferred.
Education : Typically requires a bachelors degree.
Experience : Typically requires 6+ years of experience in similar area of responsibility.

Position Work Location: This position is located in Dallas (TX) or Bedminster (Northern NJ/NY-metro). AT&T is an in-office work environment. Some travel is required.

Our Lead Market Research & Analysis position earns between 130,700.00 - 196,100.00 USD annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
