AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. Do you want to be a key part of a team focused on increasing the reach of cloud computing across stakeholders in the Retail and CPG industry? Do you have the industry background, technical depth, and communication skills needed to help further establish Amazon as the leader in the industry? Retail/CPG branding is under pressure to reinvent itself by leveraging digital, cloud, AL/ML, IoT and Data technologies. The foundation of all the advanced retail/Martech technology is a strong Customer Data Platform (CDP), with that, Retail CPG companies can run industry use cases to grow their business. Many retail customers start seeking transfer learning and privacy compute solution to do ID mapping between 1st party data and 3rd party data under the new DSL. AWS is looking for a Business Development leader who understands Retail and CPG industry deeply, and has strong knowledge and hands on experience in terms of CDP and digital marketing, who is passionate and capable of driving market development across the sector for AWS, by leveraging AWS cloud service to position and drive the right vertical solution, enable the ecosystem, and address changing industry needs.

Key job responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include engaging with key industry customers, engaging strategic industry partners, attending and speaking at industry events, leading the process to enable industry CDP/Digital Marketing/Data Analysis solutions, and create significant new business opportunities for AWS. You will enable the AWS BD teams selling to industry accounts to drive their day-to-day interactions with key prospects. Roles & Responsibilities:

•Serve as a key member of the Business Development team to drive overall AWS CDP market and technical enablement strategy.

•Define and execute on a strategic market development plan in partnership with key internal stakeholders (e.g. BD teams, SA/ISA Team, product teams, marketing, partner team, legal, support, etc.).

•Identify and engage key customers, and key partners including ISVs and system integrators to drive the adoption of AWS CDP/industry solution.

•Build business development pipeline by engaging with key prospects and partners. •Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our SCM offerings for the Manufacturing industry. •Present business reviews to the management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding our reach in CDP and digital marketing solution.

You will work closely with AWS Solutions Architects to develop and promote cloud patterns and solutions for CDP/Digital Marketing/Data solution, including partner based solutions etc. You will work closely with the AWS product and services teams to help evolve AWS offerings for more rapid adoption by retail and CPG customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
