Be a part of operating the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure. Amazon Web Services is seeking an experienced supply chain Specialist to support the development of inventory planning and sourcing metrics and strategies. This person will manage inventory planning of spare parts and sourcing of operation supply to support the data centers located in APAC. This role will report to an APAC Regional Manager based in China.

This person will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills and will have demonstrated the ability to collaborate within a group or team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory planning or sourcing.

This is an individual contributor role. As one of the global team member this critical role will require the ability to establish and build relationships with both global team and local customer- operation team independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing inventory review and replenishment to meet stock target.

  • Execute stock balancing through transfers between locations.

  • Manage PR/PO process.

  • Manage invoice and payment process.

  • Monitor performance of vendors to ensure delivery, quality and service commitments.

  • Execute bidding process, review and negotiate price.

  • Analyze data as required or assigned.

  • Analyze existing process and logic, identify gap and initiative process improvement.

  • Responsible for metrics of availability, inventory and cost.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.

  • Bachelor degree and 1+ years of planning or procurement experience.

  • Proficient data analysis skill in in Excel, SQL, etc.

  • Ability to learn quickly.

  • Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and passion for driving process improvement.
