CAE USA INC Technical Support Specialist - China in Beijing, China

About This Role

The Technical Support Specialist is part of a highly customer-facing group that provides delivery and post-delivery technical support to CAE’s customers, contributing to the company’s goal of being the Flight Training and Simulation Partner of Choice.

Combining the chance to gain experience and acquire new expertise on varied systems, with the opportunity to apply knowledge, ingenuity, and creativity to solve problems and tackle new challenges in the ever-changing landscape of customer support, the role of the Technical Support offers flexibility, professional growth and networking throughout CAE’s world-wide network of training centers and customers and partners.

We’re seeking highly motivated candidates to join our Technical Support team in CAE China (Beijing) who are responsible for the support of our Chinese customers.

Position Based: Beijing.

Responsibilities:

Regional Technical Support

  • Load deployment - Install simulation software product load and validate and close related snags/issues with customer.

  • Issues clearance - Execute SW and HW installation/integration/troubleshooting on-site and solve problems.

  • Qualification - Run qualification tests (QTGs) or tuning QTGs to prepare simulator for initial or recurrent qualifications.

  • AOG support - fast reponed when receive an AOG report from customer. Set up and coordinate efforts to isolate and address issues using remote support (from Montréal).

  • Visit training centres to collect priority issues list and schedule on-site work plan

  • Fast respond customer requests and technical questions.

Projects Support

  • Flight Simulation Training Devices(FSTD) delivery projects installation, integration, tuning, testing, acceptance, and snags clearance.

  • Hardware and software Update projects (PDS) installation, integration, tuning, testing, acceptance, and snags clearance.

  • FSR assignments

  • Technical training course delivery

Governance/reporting

  • Provide weekly/monthly report on activities progress.

  • Develop internal course/notes and share experiences

  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members.

Qualifications/ requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences

  • Bilingualism in both Mandarin and English is required.

  • Strong software background. Good Knowledge of Windows/Linux Environment and PC hardware. Ability to troubleshoot complex problems.

  • Availability to work on nightshifts (if Montréal support is required). Willingness to work irregular hours.

  • Availability to travel within China for on-site work. Ability to adapt to new environments

  • Aerospace knowledge is an asset.

  • Knowledge of the CAE simulation environment is an asset.

  • General knowledge of CAE interfaces (i.e. schematics and hardware) is an asset.
