Insight Global Project Controls Specialist in Belews Creek, North Carolina
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Controls Specialist to assist our large energy client's outage at the Belews Creek Power Station. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and tracking costs for large, complex projects, particularly in the context of major turbine overhauls. This role involves providing support to one or two Project Managers during an outage. The position is ideally onsite for the term but can support a partial hybrid approach with a minimum of 2 days onsite each week.
Core Responsibilities:
Manage and track costs for major turbine overhaul projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Develop and maintain project cost control systems and procedures.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying and addressing variances.
Prepare and present cost reports to Project Managers and other stakeholders.
Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project costs and schedules.
Support Project Managers in financial planning and forecasting.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Project Management, or a related field.
5+ years project controls experience
Experience managing costs for large, complex projects.
Proficiency in project management and cost control software and tools. PE certification
Outage experience
Primavera P6 null
