About the Role

As an Engineering Manager at Baileys, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining our position as the world's number one liqueur brand.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this leadership position is integral to our mission of achieving excellence and setting global benchmarks within Diageo.

You'll spearhead the development and implementation of asset care strategies, driving significant improvements in engineering performance across packaging, site services, and asset care.

With a focus on safety, quality, service, and cost, you'll ensure outstanding performance in all aspects of the balanced scorecard, while managing CAPEX spend and projects on site.

Additionally, you'll lead the development of maintenance competence, oversee utilities suppliers, and contribute to the short and long-term strategic vision of the site.

Your active role in fostering a positive site culture and commitment to continuous improvement will be key to our ongoing success.

This role demands exemplary CARM (Corrective Action and Risk Management) controls and successful GAR audits, with a significant portion of your time dedicated to the shop floor, ensuring the highest standards are met.

About You

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering

  • Technical qualifications accepted with relevant engineering managerial experience in FMCG Manufacturing/Packaging

  • IOSH qualification advantageous

  • Proven experience in complex packaging environments is advantageous

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams

  • Sound financial acumen

  • Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or Manufacturing excellence

  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities

  • Skilled in project management and problem-solving
