DESCRIPTION OF WORK As the supervisor of a team of Driver License Examiners and staff at the Driver License Center, your role entails various tasks. These include creating work schedules, conducting performance evaluations, approving leave requests, handling grievances, and making recommendations. You are also responsible for supervising the administration of both Non-Commercial and Commercial Driver License (CDL) knowledge and skills testing, as well as overseeing the inspection of motor vehicle components such as inspection stickers, lights, and windshield wipers. Your human resource management duties involve recruitment, placement, training, recognition, and disciplinary actions for Civil Service and union-covered employees. It is crucial to ensure fair and consistent administration of knowledge and skills tests across the Driver License Center. Additionally, you will monitor the overall efficiency and effectiveness of field employees through personal observations, analyzing productivity, assessing quality ratings, reviewing test results, and evaluating customer satisfaction ratings.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with 30-minute lunch. This position requires overtime and travel as needed. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner (commonwealth title); or Two years of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant (commonwealth title); or Three years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

Special Requirements: This position requires an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent and twenty-one years of age at the time of application. This position requires no suspensions or revocations of a driver's license during the five-year period immediately preceding employment.
