Quality Control Technician
The Quality Control Technician maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production and finished products, recording quality results Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting, and notifying the Supplier Chain team, Buyer-Planners – Mfg. Engineering and Quality Team. Perform and approve/reject First Article Inspection (FAI) – Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), in-process checks and samples pieces by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating results to the proper teams.
Performs random inspections of stock material and/or goods and documents the results in appropriate logs. Document inspection results and performance records.
Perform inspections via a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) when necessary.
Ensuring goods and products comply with company standards as well as Regulatory requirements.
Ensuring measuring equipment from inspection is calibrated and working correctly.
Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for production and shipping.
Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products.
Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the product to the specs.
Supports and Manage Quality KPI boards (e.g., Incoming inspection issues - holds, supplier issues – production issues) with the proper follow up and actions.
Acquires knowledge necessary to interpret internal and external customer specifications.
Provide technical support on problem identification, root cause analysis, and overall resolution of internal costumers and Quality Issues.
Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
Process defective material through MRB (Material Review Board) – Production & Incoming Inspection (Segregation – Inspection – Disposition)
Interface with Quality team, Suppliers, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement and Design Engineering to resolve incoming issues (e.g., measurements – paperwork – specs & inventory) and provide historical data.
Work in a fast-paced environment pulling samples from production floor, and Inventory.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Support ISO 9001:2015 requirement audits in compliance for Incoming Inspection process.
Management incoming inspection (Inventory and Value), start the process to review, validate and perform the formal inspection with proper actions, to avoid quality issues that affect direct or indirect normal production.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $28.50 - $28.50 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
