Job Description Primary Purpose of Position: Produces and Packages Performs by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Has authority to stop machines/production to communicate safety, quality, machine problems, and breakdowns to Production Supervisor or Management representative. Operates Extrusion Blow Molding machines, according to machine (product) standard. Works at different work stations as production needs require. Completes required training in a timely fashion, including compliance, team skills, and structured on-the-job training (OJT), and assists in the training of coworkers. Performs preventative maintenance on assigned production equipment as required. Troubleshoots, repairs, installs, erects, moves, and/or dismantles all types of machinery and auxiliary production equipment. Performs various manual and mechanical production functions by operating, adjusting, and repairing the production equipment to meet customer specifications. Disassembles, overhauls, and rebuilds production equipment. Participates in change over's on equipment as required. Performs record keeping duties as required under the direction of management. Conducts inspection of in-process materials and in-process and finished products. Notifies management when product does not meet quality standards. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Employees are required to continuously wear hearing and eye protection, as well as protective clothing including safety shoes while working in production or warehouse. Knowledge/Skill/Abilities High School diploma or equivalent. Job related experience, prefer 3 years. Required on-the-job and class-room training. Working knowledge of the following areas preferred: Nomenclature of all assigned equipment, solid state circuitry, electronics, electrical-mechanical devices, transmission systems, interface units, AC/DC motors, wiring diagrams and schematics, computers, inspection and digital devices, and the operating principles of all assigned equipment. Must be able to operate basic hand and power tools, electronic testing equipment. Must possess an interest in and an aptitude for mechanics, electronics, and electrical.
