Requisition Summary The chosen candidate will lead a dynamic team of two permanent staff and a rotating team of accounting professionals from various PACCAR divisions in the preparation and filing of PACCAR's 10Q, 10K, 11K, Employee Benefit Plans and other SEC documents. This person will also contribute to process improvements and ensure processes are being followed within External Reporting. This person reports to the Director of Financial Reporting within Corporate Accounting. Job Functions and Responsibilities Responsible for retaining, mentoring and developing a staff of 2 Periodically supervise, develop and motivate assigned reporting team assistants from other PACCAR divisions Lead the preparation and project management of PACCAR Inc's SEC filings including Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 11-K and 10-K Perform detail reviews of analysis and work papers prepared by the External Reporting Team Coordinate with External Auditors during the quarterly review and annual audit Perform technical GAAP / SEC research including interaction with various divisions and prepare position papers Assist with the adoption of new accounting pronouncements Assist in monitoring emerging GAAP and SEC regulations and evaluate impact to the Company's financial reporting Support Senior Accounting management and Corporate Accounting Assist or manage various ad-hoc projects and special assignments Qualifications and Skills Strong technical and analytical accounting skills with intermediate to advanced computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI etc.) Ability to communicate complex accounting issues at an executive level Ability to work independently and self-motivated, handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a team environment Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required and advanced degree is preferred CPA certification required Minimum 7+ years relevant work experience Strong working knowledge of SEC rules and regulations Public accounting and industry experience with multinational publicly traded company preferred Benefits As a U.S. PACCAR employee, you have a full range of benefit options including: 401k with up to a 5% company match Fully funded pension plan that provides monthly benefits after retirement Comprehensive paid time off - minimum of 10 paid vacation days (additional days are provided with additionalseniority/years of service), 12 paid holidays, and sick time Tuition reimbursement for continued education Medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your family Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) Paid short-and long-term disability programs Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance EAP services including wellness plans, estate planning, financial counseling and more This position is also eligible for a holid
