You will design, plan, execute and automate tests for software across a variety of n-tier architectures and cutting-edge technologies.

We are looking for a talented, detail, oriented and enthusiastic QA Engineer who is passionate about quality and is enthusiastic about the new cutting edge technology offered to consumers. Aligning with our Mobile First approach; QA engineers owns testing across various platforms like Mobile Web, Mobile Apps and Desktop browsers.

The person chosen for this position will have the opportunity to work closely with both business and technical teams. Duties include design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of test automation , the creation of software tools used to perform build verification and regression tests and driving the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies.

Key job responsibilities

Define and create test strategy, write test plans and design test cases

Implement best practices; including a variety of different testing protocols, tools and metrics

Help define & contribute to improve the Quality Assurance process

Work closely with the multiple development teams to assure test coverage

Promote QA productivity & efficiency through automation, tools, and other best practices

Assist in building tools and frameworks for automated testing

Work with remote teams across different timezones to enable delivery of test artifacts

Execute functional, regression tests, performance and stress testing

About the team

IN Customer Fulfillment Experience tech team in Seattle primarily focuses on initiatives to improve the Customer Fulfillment Experience while focusing on reducing the Cost to Serve for the Customers. Team has launched several initiatives in the past & focusing on new initiatives on Speed Delivery Experience, Returns Experience, Consolidation. The team works in a India first launch strategy followed by expansion of these initiatives globally to Emerging marketplaces.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience

• Experience in automation testing

• Experience in manual testing

• Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in API & Mobile testing

• Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $67,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $183,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
