To accomplish this vision, we seek a talented and driven Senior Technical Product Manager with a strong eye for customer experience to define and deliver world-class products which enable customers to delightfully interact with the experience developers build.

As the Senior Technical Product Manager for Alexa Skills Kit, you will define the customer facing vision, product roadmap, and features for building conversational experiences leveraging spoken language technologies and machine learning. Along with the customer, this includes enabling other teams in Alexa, other teams across Amazon, and external partners to create highly-engaging Alexa experiences and features that customers love using in their daily lives. You will be responsible for driving customer experience across a suite of products, working closely with Design and engineering to deliver your vision. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background with a strength in advocating for the customer and influencing internal stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners

  • Write product/marketing requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design, and development teams

  • Contribute to the overall product roadmap and manage prioritization and trade-offs against developer experience, customer experience, and time to market

  • Measure and analyze existing products and business models for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to developers and customers

  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members

  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
