General Floor Industries CDL Class A Driver in Bellmawr, New Jersey

Are You looking for a Driving position that allows you to be home on Nights and Weekends? General Floor Industries can offer you that Work-Life Balance. We are a well established and respected flooring distributor in Bellmawr NJ seeking an experienced CDL class A driver.

Job Description: Our Drivers' early morning start times (4 AM), Monday -- Friday, are responsible for safely transporting different types of flooring material from our Headquarters Distribution out to several of our 18 branch locations within the tri-state area. They are required to perform inspections before and after each trip and unload / load products from the trailer into the branch facility. The drivers also follow safety procedures in transporting and handling our customer orders. This involves the operation and driving newer company vehicles (day cab and 48' trailer), as well as 26 ft. box trucks.

Skills:

  • Have good communication skills.

  • Be able to work independently.

  • Being able to read warehouse transfers / paperwork and customer orders

  • Abide by all road safety regulations as well as DOT and OSHA safety standards,

  • Have a sense of time management.

  • Work Flexibility as sometimes needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Class A CDL license and provide a good MVR.

  • Minimum of 1 year recent safe and verifiable Class A driving experience.

  • Must be able to pass DOT drug screen and physical as well as background check.

  • Ability to bend, lift / handle up to 65 lbs. and stoop without difficulty.

  • Forklift experience is a plus.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
