CITY OF BELOIT Records Supervisor in BELOIT, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary of Job The City of Beloit has an exciting professional opportunity available as a Records Supervisor in the Support Services Division of the Police Department. This is a civilian supervisory position with the Police Department overseeing a 24-hour records bureau and staff. The Records Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Records Clerks to include data entry, customer service, and dissemination of confidential and sensitive data to appropriate Department and external criminal justice entities in a timely manner. The Records Supervisor is responsible for the performance and oversight of assigned personnel, including, but not limited to, staffing, enforcement of Department policies, procedures and rules, and development and training of staff. The Records Supervisor is responsible for making sure open records requests are fulfilled in a timely manner and in compliance with Wisconsin State Statutes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. A valid driver\'s license and satisfactory driving record or the ability to meet the transportation requirements of the position. 3. Two years of experience in law enforcement clerical duties or records management. 4. Progressively responsible supervisory experience with experience in oversight and/or supervision of a pool of support personnel is preferred. 5. TIME Agency Coordinator (TAC) Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire. 6. Other combinations of training and/or experience which can be demonstrated to result in the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will also be considered.
