Senior Construction Management/Project Engineer

ATI has a current need for a full-timeSenior Construction Manager/ Project Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Attend, and participate in an advisory capacity, in meetings such as preconstruction and preperformance conferences, quality control coordination meetings, progress meetings, or other conferences and meetings held between the Government's representatives and construction contractors or service providers.
- Review construction drawings and construction specifications, document recommendations to resolve construction issues associated with their specific field and provide to the COR for review.
- Provide review comments on contract submittals pertaining to all contract specification sections, to assure that they conform to the individual specification requirements, document review comments, and recommend government action to be documented and provided to the COR. Monitor the timeliness of all such submittal reviews in order to ensure their completion within the time frames required by the construction contract. Monitor the Contractor's construction or service submittal log and advise the Government of late or overdue submittals.
- Review, monitor, and provide a tracking report to the COR to assure timely corrective action to construction deficiencies, as well as the prevention of similar occurrences. Substantiate that proposed corrective actions are appropriate for the specific deficiency.
- Provide troubleshooting recommendations to the COR. These shall come in reports with a clear statement of the problem, analysis of the problem and recommended resolution to problem.
- Provide comments in RMS citing specific deficiencies on technical submittals and construction plans, and specifications to include but not limited to design flaws, calculation errors, incorrect/missing procedures, and reference of correct information.
- Perform and participate in the three-phase inspection process, including preliminary activities, as necessary to assure compliance with the design parameters and contract specifications. Document inspections through RMS.
- Prepare weekly status reports with appropriate level of detailed back up and present the reports at regularly scheduled review meeting.
- Perform monthly review of contractor as-builts and provide documentation of deficiencies to the COR.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 7-10 years of experience in Civil, Structural, Mechanical and/ or Electrical, and Systems Integration.
- Experience should include, but not limited to, the ability to perform the above duties and responsibilities
- Individual(s) must have demonstrated experience in performing duties typically associated with senior professionals in the field of construction management.
- Experience with support of vertical construction federal government projects.
- Current security clearance is a plus.
Job Type:Full-time
Pay Range:$105,000 - $135,000per year
Location: Beltsville, MD
Working Hours:Normal Work Hours - Monday - Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
